The final phase of the National Rifle Association's (NRA) civil corruption trial has begun, with a judge set to weigh remedies against the NRA and its former head, Wayne LaPierre. The New York Attorney General (AG), Letitia James, is seeking a lifetime ban on LaPierre and the appointment of a monitor for the NRA. Earlier this year, a jury found that LaPierre had misappropriated millions of dollars of NRA funds to support an extravagant lifestyle, including exotic getaways and trips on private planes and superyachts.
