
Genesis Digital Assets, a Bitcoin mining company backed by Alameda Research, is considering an initial public offering (IPO) in the United States, according to Bloomberg. Alameda Research, which has invested more than $1 billion in Genesis Digital Assets, is associated with Sam Bankman-Fried’s former hedge fund and should theoretically return creditors. The company was valued at $5.5 billion in a financing round in April 2022. Discussions are reportedly ongoing with advisors about launching a pre-IPO funding round within the coming weeks.
