On Wednesday, Goldman Sachs and Bank of America faced shareholder votes on proposals to separate the roles of CEO and chairman, currently held by David Solomon and Brian Moynihan, respectively. Despite recommendations from proxy advisers and increasing support for the split, shareholders at both companies rejected the proposals during their virtual annual meetings.
