The panel, which met ahead of the GST Council meeting scheduled for September 9, considered various proposals, including changes in the insurance sector, restaurant associations, beverage associations, and online gaming. However, not all members were in favor of altering the existing slabs. Additionally, the GST Council is expected to deliberate on exemptions for health and life insurance premiums. The Fitment Committee may also consider Bajaj Auto's proposal to reduce GST on CNG two-wheelers.
