HealthEquity, a workplace benefits administrator for companies across the U.S., has disclosed a data breach affecting 4.3 million people. The breach, which occurred in March, involved unauthorized access to personal and protected health information. The compromised data includes customer names, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, employer information, and details about diagnoses and prescriptions. Intruders rifled through storage and accessed this information via a third party. The breach is now under investigation by Federman & Sherwood.
