Australia's S&P/ASX 200 Index decreased by 0.21% to 7,795.60 points in early trade. Japan's Nikkei Average Futures rose by 0.15%. The Nikkei Index dropped by 0.2% to 40,345.04, and the Topix Index fell by the same percentage to 2,772.69 at morning open. Nikkei Average Futures later increased by 0.37% in early trade. The dollar strengthened to 151.97 yen in Tokyo trading, reaching its highest level in over 33 years. The yen depreciated against the dollar to 151.88, the lowest since 1990, leading to a rally in Japan stocks.
