John H. Ruiz, a prominent booster for the University of Miami, is facing significant financial challenges with his company, LifeWallet. The company has informed investors that there is 'substantial doubt' about its ability to continue operating. Ruiz has been known for investing millions of dollars into Miami's athletes through name, image, and likeness (NIL) deals. Despite his financial support for the university's sports programs, including significant spending on coaching changes, LifeWallet's future remains uncertain.
