NASDAQ Futures Collapse 200 Points Amid Significant Volatility

The NASDAQ futures experienced significant volatility over the past two days. Initially, NASDAQ futures rose by 53 points on July 16, 2024. However, by the end of the day, these gains were erased, and the futures traded flat. On July 17, 2024, NASDAQ futures saw a sharp decline, dropping by 55 points early in the morning and extending losses to 173 points shortly after. By 07:40 AM, the futures had collapsed by 200 points. Concurrently, the S&P 500 index futures extended losses to 0.4%, and the NASDAQ 100 futures dropped by 0.6%. The Russell 2000 futures also declined by 0.5%, and the U.S. S&P 500 E-mini futures were down 0.67%, with NASDAQ futures down 1.13% and Dow futures down 0.22%.
