The NFL Players Association (NFLPA) has been ordered to pay $7 million to Panini after a three-arbitrator panel ruled that the union's decision to terminate its trading card deal with Panini was invalid. The arbitration, which was conducted in secret, found that the NFLPA's early termination of the contract breached the agreement. As a result, Panini will continue to produce licensed NFL cards for an additional two years.
