Oil prices fell for a second straight day, with NYMEX West Texas Intermediate September futures settling 1.24% lower at $64.35 a barrel on Wednesday. ICE Brent October futures declined 1.11% to close at $66.89 a barrel. The drop extends Tuesday’s slide, when WTI ended at $65.16 and Brent at $67.64, both down about 1.7%. In other energy markets, NYMEX September natural-gas futures settled at $3.0770 per million British thermal units, while diesel and gasoline contracts closed at $2.2628 and $2.0904 a gallon, respectively.
