Ticketmaster is facing scrutiny as scalpers have reverse-engineered its technology to resell supposedly unsellable tickets. Resellers are circumventing Ticketmaster's 'non-transferable' tickets, leading to issues for buyers. StubHub users faced challenges with ticket transfers due to name restrictions.
Bad experience with @StubHub @TeamStubHub. Bought 2 tix, $900 each, and had to resell, buyer accepted tix transfer. Come to find out, name on tix has to be changed or venue wont accept (WTF?) issue is only original purchaser can change. Now buyer can’t use and we are out of $1800
Scalpers have reverse-engineered how Ticketmaster creates tickets, and are now generating and selling them on their own parallel infrastructure: https://t.co/g9wlmzGDke
what resellers are doing now to get around ticketmaster's "non-transferable" tickets is crazy https://t.co/0BzxpIxxYr
