A U.S. appeals court has revived a Title VII lawsuit against the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota, which was initially dismissed in 2023. The lawsuit, brought by five former employees, alleges that the Mayo Clinic illegally terminated their employment for refusing to comply with COVID-19 vaccine and testing policies on religious grounds. The unanimous decision by a three-judge panel from the St. Louis-based 8th Circuit Court of Appeals mandates that the case proceed. The panel consisted of Judges Benton, Erickson, and Kobes.
