Ed Yardeni has raised his year-end target for the S&P 500 to 5,800, suggesting that a strong economic period reminiscent of the Roaring 20s is approaching more rapidly than anticipated. Meanwhile, UBS has increased its year-end target for the S&P 500 to 5,900 and set a June 2025 target of 6,200, citing strength in artificial intelligence and profit growth as key drivers. This marks the fourth adjustment by UBS this year, indicating a potential 17% increase in stock prices by the end of 2024. Citi has also projected further upside for the S&P 500 in the second half of 2024, reflecting a generally optimistic outlook among major financial institutions.
