EU antitrust regulators, led by Margrethe Vestager, are seeking additional third-party views on the partnership, focusing on potential competition harm from exclusivity clauses. Under the terms of the deal, Microsoft's Azure is the exclusive cloud provider for OpenAI. Although the EU decided that the pact cannot be investigated under merger rules due to insufficient control evidence, an antitrust probe may be launched.
