October marks the European Cybersecurity Month, a period dedicated to raising awareness about cyber threats such as phishing, malware, ransomware, and data breaches. Various organizations, including the European Union and the Bar Council, are participating by offering seminars, workshops, and practical tips on how to stay safe online. The European Data Protection Supervisor highlighted that there were approximately 68 admissible personal data breach notifications, 22 of which were caused by external attacks among EU institutions. The campaign, known as CyberSecMonth, encourages individuals to be vigilant and learn how to protect their personal information from online threats. The initiative, promoted under the hashtag ThinkB4UClick, began on October 1, 2024.
