Smaller venture capital (VC) funds in Europe are gaining ground, with funds under €250 million now representing 57.6% of capital raised, up from 41.6% in 2023. A study by Invest Europe reveals that European private equity is significantly outperforming listed markets. New research from Invest Europe and Cambridge Associates shows that European VC returns are better than North American VC returns over 10 and 15-year horizons, with net internal rates of return (IRRs) of 20.77% and 16.57%, respectively.
