Sterling has experienced a significant rally, reaching a roughly 2-1/2 year high against the dollar and a one-month high versus the euro. This surge is attributed to speculative interest, as well as the release of German and Spanish inflation data. Meanwhile, the euro has slipped, extending its fall against the dollar by 0.30% to $1.1085 following the German state inflation data.
