Jeff Bezos' space travel company Blue Origin, valued at $180 billion, has announced it will now accept Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment for spaceflights aboard its New Shepard spacecraft. The accepted cryptocurrencies include Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Solana (SOL), and stablecoins USDT and USDC. This new payment option is enabled through a partnership with NYSE-listed integrated payments company Shift4 Payments, allowing customers to book space trips using crypto wallets such as Coinbase and MetaMask. Blue Origin has conducted over 75 spaceflights to date, and this move marks a notable adoption of cryptocurrency in the aerospace sector.
