
Solflare has launched the Solflare Card, a self-custodial cryptocurrency card on the Solana blockchain, enabling users to spend USDC instantly and globally with no fees or custodial limits. The card operates on the Mastercard network and offers real security with global acceptance. Initially, the card is available in the European Economic Area (EEA) and the United Kingdom, with limited spots and a waitlist open. This launch was announced during Solana Crossroads 2025. In related developments, KASTcard revealed plans to become an on-chain bank and will soon launch Kast DEX, a platform for stablecoin swaps with fees between 0% and 0.1%. Additionally, Max Resnick, lead economist at Anza, stated that once Solana achieves 1 million transactions per second (TPS), it could support all global exchanges, including Mastercard and Visa transactions, on-chain.
