Stripe has acquired Lemon Squeezy, a payment processing startup, to enhance its global merchant of record (MoR) solution. Lemon Squeezy, a four-year-old company with a 13-person team, has built a robust MoR product aimed at simplifying the process for internet businesses to get started and sell worldwide. The acquisition aligns with Stripe's strategy to expand its capabilities in the MoR space, responding to customer demand for such a solution. Lemon Squeezy, founded three years ago, announced the acquisition on Friday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
