The market for tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) has reached $26.5 billion in 2025, marking a 70% increase year-to-date, though it remains a small fraction of the $400 trillion traditional finance sector. Ethereum currently leads the RWA tokenization space, but platforms supporting multiple blockchains are gaining traction. Stablecoins, predominantly hosted on Ethereum and TRON, account for about 90% of the total stablecoin supply, with Solana ranking third by hosting over $10 billion in natively minted stablecoins. The top four stablecoin issuers—Tether, Circle, Ethena Labs, and Sky Ecosystem—control approximately 96% of the market share. The assets under management (AUM) of tokenized funds have surged more than tenfold since January 2024, rising from around $600 million to $7.5 billion. BlackRock is the largest issuer in this segment with its approximately $2.4 billion BUIDL money market fund. Other notable issuers include Ondo Finance, WisdomTree Prime, Tradable, Superstate Funds, and Spiko Finance. Securitize, a platform with tokenized fund products across more than ten blockchains, reported over $3.3 billion in tokenized assets globally. It leverages cross-chain interoperability technologies like Wormhole to meet customer demand across different ecosystems. On the Polygon blockchain specifically, Securitize has tokenized over $72.9 million in assets, with participation from major financial entities such as BlackRock BUIDL, Apollo ACRED, and Hamilton Lane SCOPE. Securitize emphasizes that successful asset tokenization requires a comprehensive technology stack beyond just smart contracts, positioning itself as the only platform offering an all-in-one solution.
