Brawl Erupts on Carnival Ship Returning to Miami

Video circulating on social media shows a brawl erupting aboard a Carnival Cruise Line ship at about 2 a.m. on Monday as the vessel was sailing back to Miami. Passengers can be seen throwing punches and grappling on the deck while bystanders shout for security personnel to intervene. People who shared the footage said the altercation began with an argument over access to chicken tenders at a late-night food station. The clips do not indicate whether anyone was seriously injured or whether the ship’s security or local authorities made arrests once the vessel docked. Carnival Cruise Line has not yet issued a public statement on the incident. The company operates more than 20 ships out of U.S. ports, including multiple short itineraries from Miami.
