Florida welcomed an estimated 34.4 million travelers in the second quarter of 2025, setting a record for the three-month period, according to figures released by Governor Ron DeSantis and state tourism agency VISIT FLORIDA. The tally edged up 0.5% from the same quarter a year earlier and surpasses the state’s previous high, underscoring Florida’s status as the most visited U.S. state. Domestic visitors accounted for 91.5% of the total, or about 31.5 million travelers. International traffic also strengthened: overseas arrivals rose 11.4% year-on-year to 2.3 million, while Canadian visits reached 640,000. Florida’s 19 commercial airports handled 28.6 million passenger enplanements, with Punta Gorda and St. Petersburg-Clearwater posting the fastest growth. State officials credited the performance to a combination of public-safety policies, marketing efforts and year-round attractions. VISIT FLORIDA said it will continue to promote the state to maintain momentum heading into the second half of the year.
