
A wanted unlicensed contractor in Miami-Dade County has been arrested for posing as a licensed roofing contractor and scamming multiple individuals, including a Las Vegas valley woman and a 96-year-old Florida resident. The suspect is accused of defrauding 13 victims out of a total of $103,000 by accepting payment for jobs he never completed. Police are currently seeking additional victims who may have been scammed out of thousands of dollars by the individual. The funds obtained through these scams were reportedly used for personal expenses, such as a facelift, hotel stays, rental cars, and purchasing expensive perfumes from high-end retailers, including defrauding the elderly woman of her savings worth more than USD100,000.
