
A man in Miami-Dade County has been arrested for posing as a licensed roofing contractor and scamming 13 individuals, including a Las Vegas valley woman and a 96-year-old woman, out of a total of $103,000. The suspect allegedly portrayed himself as a licensed contractor, taking payment for jobs that were either unfinished or not started at all, and spent the money on personal expenses such as a facelift, hotel stays, rental cars, and expensive perfumes from high-end retailers. Police are currently seeking to identify additional victims who may have been defrauded by the man.
