A wildfire in Charente, France, which began on Monday afternoon near the commune of Saint-Vallier, has burned approximately 230 hectares of vegetation. The fire mobilized over 350 firefighters and led to the displacement of around fifty people overnight. By Tuesday morning, authorities reported that the fire was contained and controlled.
