French Assembly Adopts Law Against Banking Fraud; €20 Billion Detected, U.S. House Passes IRS Accountability Bills

This legislation includes the establishment of a centralized database for fraudulent bank account numbers (IBANs), which is a part of broader efforts to enhance anti-fraud measures. In 2024, over €20 billion in fraud was detected, double the amount reported five years ago.
