Paris FC, newly promoted to France’s Ligue 1, has strengthened its attack by signing French striker Willem Geubbels from Swiss club St-Gallen for an initial €9 million, with a further €2.5 million in potential add-ons. The 24-year-old agreed a five-year contract running to June 2030. Geubbels, who came through Olympique Lyonnais’ academy before spells at AS Monaco, FC Nantes and St-Gallen, scored three goals in as many matches at the start of the Swiss season. “It’s a profile we lacked and a personality that fits our group,” sporting director François Ferracci said in a club statement. The signing is part of a summer recruitment drive backed by the club’s new owners, the Arnault family and Red Bull, as Paris FC prepares for its first top-flight campaign in 46 years. The team opens the season on Sunday away to Angers.
