Callaway Golf has unveiled a limited-edition “Happy Gilmore 2” collection, headlined by an Odyssey Hockey Stick Putter that sells for $499.99. The range also includes two Chrome Tour golf-ball styles—branded “Just Tap It In” and “It’s All in the Hips”—priced at $59.99, along with tube-sock club covers that echo the 1996 comedy’s hockey aesthetic. Online sales opened 11 July, with the putter offered on pre-order and shipping slated to arrive ahead of the sequel’s 25 July debut on Netflix. “We’re thrilled to update the famous Hockey Stick Putter and bring exclusive Chrome Tour balls to market,” Callaway vice president of global marketing Nick McInally said in a statement, noting the run is expected to sell out quickly. The launch is part of a broader promotional blitz surrounding “Happy Gilmore 2,” which has also recruited PGA Tour major winner Bryson DeChambeau and actor Christopher McDonald for related advertising. For Callaway, the tie-in extends its strategy of using pop-culture collaborations to reach younger golfers and drive demand for higher-margin special-edition equipment.
