J.P. Morgan International Finance has announced its intention to withdraw a legal claim against fintech company Viva Wallet (also referred to as WeRealize in some reports) in the United Kingdom. The lawsuit accused Viva Wallet of planning to breach the terms of a joint venture agreement. Despite withdrawing the UK lawsuit, J.P. Morgan will continue to pursue legal action in Greek courts, where the dispute remains active. Separately, Greece has initiated legal proceedings in a UK court regarding its GDP-linked warrants, financial instruments issued during the Eurozone crisis. The Greek government is suing the trustee of these warrants to enforce a call option, which some holders are contesting. This development marks Greece as the latest country embroiled in legal battles over growth-linked debt instruments. Additionally, the UK High Court rejected an application by a Monaghan-based investment firm to recover €8.77 million from Paddy McKillen Jr., though this is unrelated to the J.P. Morgan and Viva Wallet dispute.
