
The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has sentenced 12 individuals for their involvement in a series of violent home invasions aimed at stealing over $3.5 million in cryptocurrency. The group, led by Remy Ra St Felix from Florida, conducted these violent home invasions between September 2022 and April 2023. St Felix received a 47-year prison sentence for his role in the crimes, which included tying up and threatening victims at gunpoint. The DOJ's actions underscore the severity of crimes involving digital assets and the lengths to which perpetrators will go to obtain them.
