Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Ray Stevens is recovering in a Nashville hospital after suffering a mild heart attack on 4 July. The 86-year-old singer and comedian underwent minimally invasive heart surgery and has since been moved out of the intensive-care unit, according to a statement from his representatives. Medical staff report Stevens is already walking the hospital corridors with assistance as part of his rehabilitation. All performances at his Nashville CabaRay Showroom have been cancelled through at least July 2025 while he recuperates.
