The Minnesota Wild have signed restricted free-agent center Marco Rossi to a three-year contract worth $15 million, giving the 23-year-old an average annual value of $5 million and ending trade speculation that swirled around him through the summer. Rossi is coming off a breakout 2024-25 campaign in which he produced 24 goals and 60 points over 82 games, ranking second on the club in scoring. Drafted ninth overall in 2020, the Austrian pivot saw his playoff ice time fall, prompting questions about his long-term role, but general manager Bill Guerin opted to retain the player rather than explore reported interest from the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks. The agreement leaves other notable restricted free agents such as Luke Hughes, Mason McTavish and Connor Zary still unsigned as clubs finalize their rosters ahead of training camp.
