The men’s selection meeting in Mumbai was briefly delayed by heavy rain, but BCCI officials, including Agarkar and secretary Devajit Saikia, confirmed the decisions later in the afternoon. The Asia Cup will act as India’s principal tune-up for the men’s T20 World Cup next February, while the women aim to capitalise on home conditions in their quest for a maiden global title.
