In a series of cybercrime incidents in Bengaluru, a woman lawyer was scammed out of Rs 14.57 lakh by fraudsters posing as customs officers. The scammers contacted her on April 3, claiming she needed to undergo a 'narcotics' test, which involved her stripping on a Skype call. The ordeal was part of a broader 'FedEx' fraud scheme, where victims were extorted under the pretense of legal or customs issues. The lawyer has since lodged a complaint with the police.
