The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered a case against Hyderabad-based Megha Engineering and Infrastructure Ltd and eight officers from the NMDC Iron and Steel Plant, Ministry of Steel, for alleged corruption in the execution of a project valued at Rs 315 crores for the NISP. The company, the second-biggest buyer of electoral bonds, is accused of bribery in this high-profile case. This development marks a significant action by the CBI against entities involved in corruption linked to government contracts.
