The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has successfully dismantled a sophisticated cyber-enabled financial crime network as part of Operation CHAKRA-III. The operation led to the busting of a call centre in Gurugram that allegedly duped foreigners by offering technical solutions to problems with their computers. A total of 43 suspected cyber criminals were arrested. The network had been operating since 2022 and the operation is also referred to as Operation Chakra-II.
