
The Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) has issued notices to 45 coaching centers for misleading advertisements, as announced by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs in Parliament. Of these, 19 coaching institutes have been fined a total of ₹61.6 lakh for their violations. Additionally, the CCPA has issued a total of 325 notices for various consumer rights violations, resulting in penalties amounting to ₹1.19 crore. These actions reflect the government's ongoing efforts to address misleading advertising and protect consumer rights.
