Raymond shares surged by 12% to Rs 1,812.80 on the NSE amid heavy trading volumes, and continued to rise by approximately 5.8% the following day. The cement sector also experienced a notable rally, with stocks rising up to 4.5% during intraday trading on the BSE, following a price hike of Rs 10-30 per bag in early December, as reported by CLSA. This price increase implies that third-quarter prices are up 3.5% quarter-on-quarter but still down 5% year-on-year. Additionally, the Nifty Smallcap 100 index hit a record high, trading at 19677, marking a 13% recovery in a month, while the BSE Smallcap index reached a record high of 57,798.64.
