A U.S. court in Dallas has imposed a $194 million penalty on Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for misappropriation of trade secrets. The case, filed by Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), now known as DXC Technology Company, alleges that TCS misappropriated its trade secrets. According to a regulatory filing by TCS, the court ordered the company to pay $56.1 million in compensation for damages and an additional $112.3 million in punitive damages. The total penalty amounts to approximately Rs 1,600 crore.
