
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has partnered with Flipkart to invest $100 million in Indian startups, aiming to promote tech-driven innovation and strengthen the country's startup ecosystem. An MoU was signed between DPIIT and Flipkart, with Shri Rajneesh Kumar, Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, representing Flipkart. The collaboration focuses on supporting product innovators and entrepreneurs by providing mentorship, market access, and strategic insights. Separately, Amazon India has signed a similar MoU with DPIIT to promote manufacturing in India. As part of this initiative, Amazon has committed $120 million through its Smbhav Fund to support startups engaged in manufacturing within the country.
