The Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) conducted Operation 'Rising Sun' to bust a major gold smuggling syndicate in India, seizing over 61 kg of gold worth Rs. 40 crore. Mumbai Customs also seized additional gold in separate cases, totaling over 6.69 kg and valued at Rs. 3.69 crores.
