
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted searches in Mumbai, Kolkata, Delhi, and Gurgaon related to the forex trading platform OctaFx, which is accused of defrauding investors. Additionally, the ED has attached assets worth Rs 14.21 crore in a mining-linked money laundering case involving Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K. Ponmudy, his son and former MP P. Gautham Sigamani, and their family members. On July 23, 2024, a special court in Nagpur took cognizance of the ED's prosecution complaint against Laxmi Narain Kaushik and Shachi Kaushik.
