The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has conducted extensive raids and searches across multiple Indian cities including Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Indore, Jaipur, Chennai, and Sambalpur in connection with the Mahadev Betting App case and related money laundering investigations. These operations involved nearly 50 locations and included properties linked to the Surana Group, Sai Surya Developers, and EaseMyTrip co-founder Nishant Pitti. Sai Surya Developers is implicated in a ₹3.2 crore real estate fraud. The ED also searched EaseMyTrip's Gurugram office, though the company has denied any association with the Mahadev Betting App or any betting platform. Additionally, the ED arrested Anil Mithas, promoter of Unnati Group, under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). In separate actions, the ED attached assets worth over Rs 400 crore linked to former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy and Dalmia Cement in a decade-old money laundering case, including shares valued at Rs 27.5 crore and land worth Rs 377 crore. The ED also provisionally attached movable and immovable properties valued at Rs 121.80 crore (market value around Rs 600 crore) linked to Neomax Properties Pvt. Ltd. in Tamil Nadu for alleged investor fraud. Furthermore, a prosecution complaint was filed against Dr. Rajendra Prasad, former Vice Chancellor of Magadh University, and family members in a disproportionate assets case involving Rs 2.66 crore. These actions reflect ongoing enforcement efforts targeting multiple entities and individuals involved in money laundering and financial fraud across India.
