
The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches at the residence of West Bengal Minister Chandranath Sinha in Bolpur, Birbhum district, as part of an investigation into a teachers' recruitment scam. During the operation, the ED recovered mobile phones, documents, and cash worth Rs.40 Lakhs. The searches are part of a broader crackdown on corruption within the state, with the Income Tax department also concluding search operations at the premises of Swarup Biswas, brother of another West Bengal minister, Aroop Biswas.
