
Indian air taxi startup ePlane Co has successfully raised $14 million in a funding round led by Speciale and Antares Ventures. The company, which is incubated at IIT-Madras, aims to become a key player in India's electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) mobility sector. The newly acquired funds will be utilized to support commercial partnerships for manufacturing, as well as critical design, assembly, and testing phases for its e200x model and other aircraft in development. ePlane is targeting mid-2025 for testing its air taxis, aligning with the Indian government's growing interest in air transportation innovations.
