Several Indian companies and Colombia's Ecopetrol reported their financial results for the first quarter of fiscal year 2026 and the second quarter of 2025, respectively. Finolex Cables posted a 33.4% decline in net profit to ₹162.6 crore year-on-year (YoY), despite a 13.4% increase in revenue to ₹1,395.5 crore. Granules India saw a 16% drop in net profit to ₹113 crore YoY, with revenue rising 3% to ₹1,210 crore. Honasa Consumer reported a 2.7% increase in profit to ₹41.3 crore and a 7.4% rise in income to ₹595 crore, although its EBITDA margin fell to 7.7% from 8.3%. MRF's net profit declined 14% to ₹484 crore YoY, with revenue up 7% to ₹7,560 crore. Jyothi Labs experienced a 5% net profit decrease to ₹96.8 crore and a 1.3% revenue increase to ₹751.2 crore. DCMShriram's net profit dropped 42.6% to ₹17.8 crore, with revenue down 10%. PI Industries reported a 10.9% net profit decline to ₹400 crore and an 8.1% revenue decrease to ₹1,901 crore. Jindal Steel's consolidated income fell 9.7% to ₹12,294 crore, but consolidated profit rose 11.5% to ₹1,494 crore. Usha Martin Ltd. posted a 2.9% decline in profit to ₹100.8 crore with revenue up 7.4%. Jupiter Wagons Ltd. reported a 66.2% drop in profit to ₹31.1 crore and a 47.8% revenue decline to ₹459.3 crore. Oil and Natural Gas Corp. (ONGC) saw a 24.4% quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) increase in net profit to ₹8,024.2 crore despite an 8.5% revenue decline to ₹32,003 crore, with EBITDA margin improving to 58.3%. Oil India reported a 48.9% profit drop QoQ to ₹814 crore and a 9.2% income decrease. NMDC's consolidated profit rose 32.7% QoQ to ₹1,968 crore, with EBITDA margin increasing to 36.8%. Colombia's Ecopetrol experienced a 46% profit slump in the second quarter of 2025, with first-half earnings totaling $4.9 billion, attributed to lower oil prices. The profit declines at ONGC and other Indian oil explorers were linked to lower crude prices and stagnant production from aging fields.
