Additionally, it has issued instructions to ban fake international calls and block fake calls and messages. The government has also raised concerns about scammers impersonating officials on platforms like Facebook and WhatsApp. In response, the telecom industry has introduced a new system to identify scam and fraud calls, including a 10-digit solution to tackle fraud calls from government and banks. The measures involve the Ministry of Home Affairs (#MHA) and the Department of Telecommunications (#DoT).
