The Gujarat Crime Investigation Department (CID) has arrested Bhupendrasinh Jhala, the owner of BZ Group, in connection with a Ponzi scheme valued at approximately Rs 6,000 crore. Jhala was apprehended at a farmhouse in Davada village, located in the Mehsana district, and has since been transported to Gandhinagar. The CID reported that Jhala had been evading capture for an extended period, and his arrest was facilitated through a combination of human intelligence and technical surveillance efforts.
