Investigations revealed that data from mobile phones and SIM cards seized from the accused led to this discovery. In a related incident, a Bengaluru resident lost Rs 3 lakh while attempting to book a flight ticket through a fraudulent call center. In Hyderabad, a man was scammed out of Rs 11 lakh after receiving a deceptive call about phone number deactivation. Another report indicated a Hyderabad man lost Rs 11.20 lakh under similar circumstances. In response to the growing threat of cyber fraud, the Indian government has established the Indian Cyber Crime Coordination Centre (I4C) to address various types of cybercrime in a coordinated manner. Additionally, police in SAS Nagar, Punjab, have arrested 21 individuals linked to cybercrime activities.
